Credit union honored

Robins Federal Credit Union received an Environmental Award from Cintas Document Management for the impact made in 201 by its document shredding partnership with Cintas.

In 2011, Robins FCU was able to save 1,306 trees, 29,189 gallons of oil and 537,688 gallons of water through its efforts.

The numbers are determined by the tonnage recycled.

The shredded material is then placed through a pulping process and used as a raw material for paper goods.
