November 4, 2012

The Mercer women’s soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision Sunday, losing to Florida Gulf Coast in the A-Sun tournament championship game for the second straight year.

The two teams played scoreless through regulation, but in the 93rd minute, Florida Gulf Coast’s Ally Kasun sent home a one-timer for the game-winner.

The Bears ended their season with a 13-5-3 record. Mercer had three players named to the A-Sun all-tournament: defender Rachel Buffalo, midfielder P.A. Upson and goalkeeper Maggie Cropp.
