The Living Arts Show is a production designed to display the hidden artistic talents and skills of the students and faculty in Hutchings Career Centers Skills USA club. Skills USA is a partnership of students, advisors and industry professionals working together to ensure America has a skilled work force. It helps students to excel mentally and physically by showing off their work skills and creativity.
Mainly, Hutchings division of Skills USA is producing and hosting this event. Their goal is to showcase their vibrant young talents to the local community. The students also are calling out to Hutchings staff members, local emerging and experienced artists, and arts organizations to come out and make presentations at the event.
The Living Arts Show has been approved to take place twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. The first show is scheduled for 5-9 p.m. Nov. 14 at Hutchings, 2011 Riverside Drive, Macon. Performing and visual arts will be showcased.
The Hutchings Skills USA members want and need the support of our community to bring this project to the light and to create something special that will enhance the morale of the students and staff.
As the name suggests, they are living the arts every day, and they would like to share their passions with the Middle Georgia community.
