Thomson’s road win over third-ranked Washington County was impressive, but it did nothing to vault the second-ranked Bulldogs in the Georgia AP Prep Football Poll.

Peach County remained in the top spot in Class AAA despite a sloppy 24-14 win over Pike County. Washington County fell two spots to No. 5 after the 14-point loss to Thomson.

Northside remained the unanimous No. 1 in Class AAAAA ahead of its annual showdown with Warner Robins. The ninth-ranked Demons moved up one spot after beating Grovetown.

Westside stayed at No. 10 in Class AAAA following its road win over Perry.

Lamar County couldn’t move any closer to the top spot in Class AA following a blowout win over Bleckley County, which was ranked No. 10 last week. The Trojans remained at No. 4, one spot behind Vidalia and one spot ahead of Fitzgerald.

Wilcox County moved up one spot to No. 7 in Class A, while Wilkinson County stayed at No. 10. The Warriors travel to play No. 2 Lincoln County on Friday.
