Official trick-or-treating times in Macon and throughout Houston County will be 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31, Halloween itself.
The Macon Police Department will conduct special patrols during that time period, according a police news release.
Houston County Commission Chairman Tommy Stalnaker said he spoke with the mayors of the three cities in Houston County, and all agreed to have trick-or-treating at the same time.
Bibb County sheriffs deputies arent making the same sorts of recommendations, said Lt. Gregory Rachel, public information officer for the sheriffs office. We dont have any designated times for Halloween, he said.
