A Houston County man won $1,000 a week for a year -- $52,000 -- playing the Georgia Lottery, according to a news release.
Steven Baughman of Kathleen won the prize by matching the first five winning numbers plus the free ball in the Oct. 3 Win For Life drawing.
Houston Lake Food Store, 1946 South Houston Lake Road, sold the winning ticket.
Baughman, 54, a tools and parts attendant, said in a news release that he found out the next day when he checked the results on the lotterys website.
He and his wife, Amelia, plan to pay off bills and have a car repaired with the money, the release states.
