For the third time in as many months, an armed robber held up the X-Mart adult store at 2025 Emery Highway.

About 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, a man pointed a .22 caliber pistol at two workers, demanded money, took cash and got away, said Lt. Gregory Rachel, public information officer for the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The robber was dressed in black and was wearing a mask and gloves, but no further description was released.

In last month’s hold-up, a Halloween-costumed culprit got away in a long, black hooded robe about 4:20 a.m. Sept. 13.

On Aug. 19, the store on a secluded stretch of the highway was robbed about 6:20 a.m. by a masked man in black.

The 24-hour store, which sells adult novelty items, clothing and DVDs, was robbed at least a half-dozen times in 2009.

No one was hurt in the latest robbery, Rachel said.
