Midstate residents can expect lane closures in Jones and Houston counties this week, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
Road crews are expected to close a single lane of Ga. 11 in Jones County. From 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, maintenance work is scheduled near mile marker 4, which is not far from Gray.
One southbound lane is expected to be closed, if weather permits.
Also, resurfacing work on Ga. 96 in Houston County was expected to begin Tuesday.
The affected stretch is from Double Gate Drive east to Twiggs County, according to a news release.
From 7 p.m.-5 a.m. nightly through Friday morning at 5 a.m., there will be a single lane closure eastbound near Bonaire.
