Bay Gall cleanup planned

Keep Warner Robins Beautiful will hold a clean up at Bay Gall Creek Oct. 27 as part of a statewide effort to preserve rivers and streams.

Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. at Wellston Trail on Corder Road. More than 200 clean ups to collect trash and debris in waterways are scheduled throughout the state as part of Rivers Alive, a joint program of the Environmental Protection Division and Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation, according to a news release.

Last year, 29,000 volunteers cleaned more than 1,700 miles of waterways, the release states.
