A Monroe County man died in a one vehicle wreck Saturday.

According to a Monroe County Sheriff’s Department release, Bobby Eugene Deaton, 46, died after losing control of the pickup truck he was driving.

He was traveling north on Ga. 42 near Towaliga Bridge when the Dodge truck left the road, went up an embankment and flipped several times, ejecting Deaton.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by Monroe County Coroner Joey Procter.
