Macon police investigating shooting on Lamont Street

Macon police are investigating a shooting Tuesday on Lamont Street.

An 18-year-old was shot just before 5:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Lamont Street, Macon police Sgt. Melanie Hofmann stated in an e-mail.

He was listed in stable condition at The Medical Center of Central Georgia, police said.

Jami Gaudet, public information officer for Macon police, stated in an e-mail that the victim told officers that a white vehicle drove down the street and he was shot once in the back.
