A yard sale to benefit animal rescue group Macon Purrs ’N Paws is scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday in the Highlands subdivision in Bibb County.

The yard sale, which will be held at the subdivision’s clubhouse at 535 Ivy Brook Way, is scheduled from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. and will include furniture, household items and baby items. Weather permitting, dogs will be available for adoption at the event.

Money raised from the yard sale will be used for veterinarian expenses for animals pulled from the Bibb County animal shelter.
