Photograph contest to benefit new Peach hospital

Photos submitted for a contest could end up on the walls of the new Peach Regional Medical Center.

Central Georgia Health System is hosting a photography contest during October and winning entries will be displayed in the Peach Regional Medical Center with the photographer’s name under the photo, according to a news release. Also, cash prizes will be awarded for first, second and third places and for the People’s Choice Award.

Submitted images should suggest a sense of comfort and peace for patients and their families and should include wildlife, local landscapes and natural elements or familiar local architecture, the release stated. Images of people will not be considered. Photos may be in color or black and white.

The contest begins Oct. 1 with a deadline of Oct. 31. All work should be submitted in a TIF or JPG format with a minimum of 200 dpi. No more than 10 photos should be sent on a DVD to: Medcen Community Health Foundation, Attention: Ellen Terrell, 858 High St., Macon, GA 31201. The DVD will not be returned.
