The Georgia Department of Corrections is hosting a military job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the old Tift College campus in Forsyth.
The military job fair, called From Deployment to Employment, is for veterans, active military personnel, and spouses.
Recruiters are looking to fill about 800 positions at state law enforcement agencies including the Department of Corrections, Department of Juvenile Justice, Georgia Public Safety, Georgia Bureau of Investigations, Department of Natural Resources and Pardons and Parole.
Positions to be filled include administration, cook supervisors, maintenance, transportation, correctional officer, probation officer, state patrolman, counselor, engineer, IT, communications, and public affairs,
