WARNER ROBINS -- An arrest has been made in the Sept. 16 shooting in the 100 block of Sunstede Road, police said Monday.

Youncy Laprell Toliver, 31, of Warner Robins, was charged with aggravated battery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was arrested Friday night on Inverness Avenue, said Tabitha Pugh, public information officer for Warner Robins police.

He’s accused of shooting 39-year-old Antonio Sutton of Warner Robins in the lower torso.

Police were dispatched to Sunstede Road in reference to a 911 call of a person with a gunshot wound at 10:47 p.m., police said. The shooting took place outside in the view of several people, Pugh said.

Toliver had 2002 convictions in Houston County for burglary, aggravated assault and possession of a knife during commission of a crime, according to state Department of Corrections’ online records.

Toliver was being held Monday in the Houston County jail.
