Macon police are looking for the gunman who wounded a man early Saturday morning in the 2300 block of Holiday Drive off New Clinton Road in east Macon.
Charles Hopkins, 35, of Macon told officers he had just returned home from work and was on his screened porch when two men approached at about 3:50 a.m., according to a news release from the Macon Police Department.
The men told him to give it up, and they took $700, according to a police report released Monday.
One of approaching men shot Hopkins in the stomach and right shoulder, according to the release.
Hopkins was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia, but no information was immediately available about his condition.
