The Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy of Baldwin County is hosting the inaugural “Book it to the Finish 5K” on Sept. 29.

The event includes a Tiny Trot at 8 a.m. before the 5K begins at 8:30 a.m.

The registration fee is $25 per person or $60 for a maximum of four family members.

Participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite storybook character and compete for best costume.

Proceeds will help pay for books to be distributed to children each month until their fifth birthday.
