McDuffie featured Thursday on national radio broadcast

Published: September 12, 2012

Violinist and Macon native Robert McDuffie will be featured on the American Public Media radio show “Performance Today” at 9 a.m. Thursday morning.

The show will feature McDuffie’s recent performance for the Aspen Music Festival, as well as host Fred Child’s interview with McDuffie about the McDuffie Center for Strings at Mercer University’s Townsend School of Music.

McDuffie, the Mansfield and Genelle Jennings Distinguished University Professor Chair at Mercer, performed in Macon on Aug. 30 as part of the “McDuffie Loves Macon” concert at the Grand Opera House, which featured teachers and students from the center.

Thursday morning’s show will also be available online at performancetoday.publicradio.org.
