A Macon woman was robbed in the lobby of Ramada Inn, 4755 Chambers Road, early Wednesday morning, according to a Macon police report released Wednesday.

The woman told police a black man wearing a black bandanna over his face robbed her at gunpoint just before 2 a.m. After she complied with the man’s demand, he ordered her to cut the phone cord. She cut the cord and the robber ran away, according to the report.

Five minutes before the woman called police, an officer spotted a man matching the woman’s description running from the motel toward Eisenhower Parkway before the officer lost sight of him, according to the report.

The man was last seen wearing blue jean shorts and a white T-shirt. He’s described as being between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing between 150 and 170 pounds. He has short straight hair and was last seen clean shaven, according to the report.
