A Warner Robins man, who allegedly threatened law enforcement officers, led police on a chase into Macon and back Wednesday night.
The 43-year-old was taken into custody when the pursuit ended at Houston Medical Center where he remains for evaluation, according to a news release from the Warner Robins Police Department.
Police were called at 6:30 p.m. to investigate a demented person in the 600 block of McArthur Boulevard and called in the SWAT team about 90 minutes later, the release stated.
Before the team could set up a perimeter, the man fled in a silver truck toward Macon and then headed back to Warner Robins on Ga. 247.
He was taken into custody without incident in the hospital parking lot.
Deputies from sheriffs offices in Houston, Peach and Bibb counties assisted in the incident along with the Georgia State Patrol, Houston County EMS and the Warner Robins Fire Department.
