Macon police are investigating a Saturday afternoon shooting in the New Clinton Road area, according to a police report.

Officers went to Coliseum Hospital to interview the victim, Larry Stubb, 29, who told them he heard gunshots between 1 and 2 p.m. He started to run and noticed he was bleeding from the right leg.

Stubb told officers he didn’t see anyone in the area or any suspicious vehicles. According to the report, Stubb was “very evasive” when officers asked further questions. He told officers because he didn’t see who shot him, he didn’t want to prosecute.

The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Macon Regional CrimeStoppers at (877) 68-CRIME.
