John Milledge rolls over Brentwood

John Milledge scored 28 first-half points to cruise to a 48-7 home win over Brentwood Thursday night in the season opener for both teams.

Five different Trojans rushed for touchdowns as the team averaged 8.7 yards per carry on 32 attempts. Quarterback Brantley Attaway went 7-of-9 for 103 yards and two touchdowns. Cooper Morgan led the ground attack with 119 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.

The Trojans converted all six of their first-down attempts in the game.

After a touchdown by Brentwood’s Drew Still cut the Trojans’ lead to 14-7, John Milledge responded with 34 unanswered points.

Andrew McNeely led Brentwood with 76 rushing yards.
