A new women’s clothing and accessories store is opening in downtown Macon next week.

Tabatha Lance is opening Pink Chief Boutique at 408 Third St., next to Central Park Pizza.

Lance, who’s from Atlanta and moved to Macon three and a half years ago, said she decided to open the store because she had a difficult time finding clothing that she likes here.

“When I moved here there were not many places to shop,” the former interior designer said Thursday sitting behind a desk in her new store doing paperwork. “I kept having to go to Atlanta and I said ‘I’m going to open a boutique downtown.’”

Lance described the fashion collection at Pink Chief saying, “It’s all over the place. Anyone can wear it ... pretty much 20 to 40,” years old.

The shop also features custom-made cowboy boots made by Lance.
