Illegal resident charged in Macon rape

An illegal resident is accused of raping a woman Saturday morning in the 3300 block of North Ingle Place in Macon.

Claudio Ivan Jimenze-Rueda, 31, was arrested Wednesday in connection with the incident that the victim said occurred at an apartment at 6 a.m.

Police didn’t know Jimenze-Rueda’s name until they went to his apartment on North Ingle Place to serve a search warrant. He drove into the parking lot but didn’t have a driver’s license, according to the warrant.

Jimenze-Rueda also is charged with driving without a license, according to Bibb County jail records.

He is in the United States illegally, according to the warrant. Jimenze-Rueda is being held at the jail without bond, according to jail records.

Macon police haven’t released additional information.
