WARNER ROBINS -- A former probation officer charged with killing his girlfriend, who worked for the Houston County prosecutors office, is free on a $650,000 bond.
Russell Holt is accused of the March 18 shooting of 27-year-old Jessica Nicole Wolfe of Bonaire inside his Bonaire.
Macon Judicial Circuit Judge Tripp Self set the bond Aug. 13. Holt bonded out of jail late Tuesday afternoon, Houston County jail records show. The bond conditions include house arrest with electronic monitoring at the Warner Robins home of Holts parents
Holt has entered pleas of not guilty. He was indicted on charges of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Wolfe, a legal assistant for the Houston County District Attorneys Office, died from a single gunshot wound to the chest. Holt says an intruder knocked him unconscious on the morning Wolfe was shot,
Self is presiding over the case after Houston County Superior Court judges recused themselves.
