Wednesdays Powerball jackpot is expected to reach $320 million dollars in the multi-state lottery.

The Georgia Lottery just passed a $50 billion milestone in sales since the games began in 1993.
Over the 2012 fiscal year that ended June 30, Georgia collected a record $3.8 billion dollars.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery returned more than $13.6 billion to the state for education needs, the release stated.
Lottery profits pay for specific programs, including Georgias HOPE scholarships and pre-kindergarten education.
