Feagin Mill educator earns award

The principal at Feagin Mill Middle School has been selected by his peers as the 2012 Georgia Distinguished Principal for District 11, according to a news release.

Jesse Davis will represent the district at the state level.

Davis has lived in Houston County for more than two decades, attending school at Shirley Hills Elementary, Northside Junior High and Northside High schools. He received his undergraduate degree and doctorate at Georgia Southern, also earning a master’s degree from Georgia College & State University and a Specialist from Columbus State University.

Principal named director in student support group

The principal of Pearl Stephens Elementary School has been named director at-large and membership chairwoman for the Student Support Team Association for Georgia Educators.

Deborah Moore-Sanders has been a member of the group, which is considered a leader in the Response to Intervention process, since 2007.
