I-75 roadwork to stop, also slow traffic

Published: August 9, 2012

Roadwork along Interstate 75 is expected to slow traffic soon.

The Georgia Department of Transportation warns of heavy congestion near Perry on Sunday morning, when contractors with Georgia Power plan to run a power line across the interstate. Traffic on the interstate will stop in both directions for as long as 10 minutes at a time between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. near the Sam Nunn Boulevard exit.

The interstate also will get resurfacing in Monroe County from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. next Monday through Thursday, Aug. 16. Work is slated for a lane of I-75 northbound in an area roughly between the Rumble Road exit and the Ga. 18/Harold Clarke Parkway exit.
