WARNER ROBINS -- A Pinehurst man was killed Sunday in a two-vehicle crash on Ga. 26 in Pulaski County, the Georgia State Patrol says.
Walter P. Dorminy, 82, died when the 1992 Ford F-150 pickup truck he was driving was struck head-on by a 2006 Ford Super-Duty pickup truck driven by Johnathan Blake Simmons, 18, of Oglethorpe, said Sgt. Mike Maynard.
Simmons was taken to Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, Maynard said.
Simmons, who was headed east on Ga. 26, apparently traveled over the center line and crashed into Dorminys westbound truck, Maynard said.
The 2:17 p.m. crash happened just west of Lakeview Drive, Maynard said.
It remains under investigation, he said.
