Chris Sanders will not be returning to the Georgia football team after all. In fact, the dismissed defensive back is not even with his junior college team anymore.
Sanders was dismissed from the Georgia Military College for a violation of team rules, according to GMC head coach Bert Williams.
Lets just say he fell back into his own ways, Williams said.
Sanders proclaimed widely his desire to return to Georgia, after spending a year at GMC. Other Georgia players have gone that route. But that was contingent on Sanders behaving well.
Williams said he spoke to Georgia head coach Mark Richt to notify him of the dismissal. The news likely ends any chance Sanders had of returning to Georgia.
I would have to think that it is (the case). But thats something you would have to address with them, Williams said.
Last February, Sanders was one of three Georgia freshmen who was dismissed from the team after a teammate alleged a theft from a dorm room. Cornerback Nick Marshall and receiver Sanford Seay were the other two.
Marshall, the former Wilcox County star, ended up transferring to Garden City Community College in Kansas.
