Wilkinson County’s Board of Education will open its new primary and elementary school on Ga. 57 Thursday evening.

The community is invited to the ceremony that begins at 5 p.m. in the gymnasium and features a ribbon cutting and presentations before the building is open for tours between 5:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m., according to a news release.

Guests are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes prior to the ceremony as a large crowd is expected.

The new school is just west of the Wilkinson County Board of Education and former elementary school campus.
