MGTC offers class on organizing

Middle Georgia Technical College will offer a “getting organized” course this fall as part of its continuing education offerings, according to a news release.

The course, to be taught by professional organizer Andi Willis, will cover topics including “Common Organizational Stumbling Blocks” and “Maintaining Your New Found Organization,” the release states.

The 10-hour course is offered to those 16 or older. It will take place 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesdays Aug. 22-Sept. 19.

The cost is $150. The course will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Houston extension offers vegetable gardening class

The Houston County Extension Office will offer a fall vegetable gardening class Aug. 23.

The class, to be led by University of Georgia Extension Agent Jeff Cook, will take place 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Extension Office Multipurpose Room on the top floor of the old courthouse in Perry. The cost is $10.

Museum of Aviation seeks volunteers

The Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins is seeking volunteers, especially on weekends, according to a news release.

Volunteer shifts are 9 a.m.-1 p.m. or 1-5 p.m. Volunteers will help visitors to the museum and explain what’s there, where things are and how to get there. Training is provided.
