Supporters of a regional transportation sales tax have scheduled a forum for Monday night.
Laura Mathis, deputy director of the Middle Georgia Regional Commission, will begin with a presentation at 6 p.m. in Macon City Council chambers. Mathis said she would take questions about her presentation, then step away so audience members could ask other questions.
Mathis said her part of the event will be limited to factual questions about the July 31 referendum on the transportation special purpose local option sales tax.
The forum will be moderated by Alex Habersham. Event sponsors include Connect Middle Georgia, Dove Ministries, the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce, Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority and the Middle Georgia Board of Realtors.
