WARNER ROBINS -- The Georgia Department of Labor’s Houston County Career Center and the Middle Georgia Employer Committee are sponsoring a veterans’ career expo in Perry Thursday.

The expo will feature about 80 employers, educational institutions and resource agencies that help job seekers. Although it is billed as an event for veterans, it is open to all job seekers, according to a release.

It will be held at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Employers at the expo will be hiring, the release stated, as well as discussing future employment opportunities. Attendees should bring resumes and be prepared to be interviewed and fill out job applications.

For more information, or for employers who want to register, call the Houston County Career Center at 988-7130.

Employers slated to attend the expo include law enforcement agencies, banks, correctional facilities, industries, distribution centers and more.
