Bibb County commissioners are scheduled to hold their final budget hearing Thursday morning.
The proposed budget, which likely will be approved just after the 9 a.m. hearing, would draw about $4.9 million from the countys reserves to balance the budget. The draft $87.2 million budget is about 3.9 percent higher than the current years budget. No property tax increase is planned.
Additional costs include the first full year of a pay scale and Bibb Countys taking over of five Macon departments beginning July 1. Some revenues also sagged.
The budget hearing will be held in the commissioners room on the 4th floor of the Bibb County Courthouse.
