WARNER ROBINS -- The citys first female police detective is retiring after 33 years with the department.
Debbie Miller, 55, worked in various capacities for Warner Robins police before serving as Municipal Court clerk for the past six years. Miller retired as a police officer while serving as court clerk and has continued in that capacity for the police department as a civilian employee.
As the court clerk, Miller sets up dockets for court, works with attorneys and other agencies and handles tickets and billing. There is also an assistant court clerk.
Miller also has worked in the patrol division.
Ive enjoyed working for the city, said Miller. Ive worked for five police chiefs and outlasted four of them.
Her retirement is effective July 6.
