No fares will be collected on Macon Transit Authority buses on Wednesday for Customer Appreciation Day.
In an effort to boost ridership and attract more people to public transportation, a vendor fair is set up at Terminal Station with childrens activities and food.
Many of the weeks 33 sponsors such as the Medical Center, Nu-Way Weiners, local colleges, Geico, banks and government agencies will have booths set up during the day.
MTA is promoting Try Transit Week through Friday.
Thursday will feature a free preview of a new route to primarily serve Geico employees at Ocmulgee East Industrial Park.
Friday, Terminal Station hosts family activities and a prize drawing for transit authority employees.
