Macon police enforced the teen curfew as they arrested two 16-year-olds and a 13-year-old accused of breaking into a car in east Macon after 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
Officers tracked down the three suspects and recovered items taken near Main and Leaf streets, according to a news release from the Macon Police Department.
The young men were charged with entering auto and their parents were cited with allowing them to be out unaccompanied between midnight and 5 a.m., the release stated.
"This is one example of MPD's commitment to stop teen crime and enforce the City of Macon's Curfew Ordinance," Major Robert Grabowski stated in the release. "MPD hopes this incident will serve as a reminder about the necessity of parents taking responsibility for their teenagers."
