Houston County man shot by deputies during incident

Houston County sheriff’s deputies shot a Warner Robins man Saturday afternoon while responding to a domestic call at a residence in the 1200 block of North Houston Lake Road, according to a sheriff’s news release.

David Clayboss, 61, was shot after allegedly failing to put down his weapon after being instructed to do so by deputies about 5:55 p.m., according to the news release. Clayboss was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

No one else was injured during the incident.

The GBI is investigating the incident at the request of the sheriff’s office, which is standard procedure in an officer-involved shooting, according to the news release.
