The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for several Middle Georgia counties.

Parts of Bleckley, Houston, Pulaski and Twiggs counties are under the warning until 8 p.m. In addition, parts of Bibb and Jones counties are under a warning until 7:45 p.m.

The doppler-indicated storm is capable of producing quarter-sized hail and up to 60 mph winds, according to an alert from the weather service.
