La’Berry Frozen Yogurt Café Co. issued a statement Wednesday that some customers using their credit cards in its Warner Robins store have had their credit cards compromised.

Jack Largent, company president, said in a telephone interview that the company’s system was tested and reviewed to ensure that transactions are safe and secure for customers. An extra firewall was also added.

A few cards were reported as having been compromised, but only one was enough for the company to take additional security measures, Largent said.

In addition the company offered a gift card to anyone whose card was compromised to show how much their business is valued, he said.

Of five financial card thefts reported to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office in February, four were issued by CB&T Bank and three of those were used at La’Berry, said sheriff’s Capt. Robert Clark. Warner Robins police had one financial card theft report in which the card’s owner thought the card may have been compromised at La’Berry, said Tabitha Pugh, Warner Robins police public information officer.
