A two-vehicle crash that shut down a major Warner Robins intersection for about 90 minutes Wednesday morning sent two people to The Medical Center of Central Georgia.
Guy Hunnicutt, 54, of Fort Valley, was listed in critical condition, and Ellen Rioux, 65, of Warner Robins, was listed in stable condition Wednesday, a hospital spokesperson said.
Hunnicutt, who was driving a 1995 Isuzu Pickup west on Leverette Road, disregarded the traffic signal at Carl Vinson Parkway and moved into the path of a northbound 2005 Scion driven by Rioux, the release stated. Hunnicutt was ejected from the vehicle.
Warner Robins police were dispatched to the crash at 9:27 a.m., and the intersection was immediately shut down. The intersection reopened at 11:05 a.m.
Anyone with additional information about the collision is asked to contact the Warner Robins police Traffic Division at (478) 929-1170.
