Macon Mayor Robert Reichert buried his father Tuesday, and his mother died Wednesday morning, Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said.
Elizabeth Walton Bowen “Chunk” Reichert died of natural causes Wednesday morning at Carlyle Place, Jones said. She had been married for 75 years to Albert P. Reichert, who died Thursday and was buried Tuesday.
“Put the mayor and his family in your prayers,” Jones said. “He really needs our prayers.”
