WARNER ROBINS -- A two-vehicle crash which shut down a major Warner Robins intersection for about 90 minutes Wednesday sent two people to The Medical Center of Central Georgia.

Guy Hunnicutt, 54, of Fort Valley, is in critical condition and Ellen Rioux, 65, of Warner Robins, is in stable condition, a hospital spokesperson said.

According to a police news release, Hunnicutt was ejected from his vehicle.

He was driving a 1995 Isuzu Pickup west bound on Leverette Road approaching its intersection with Carl Vinson Parkway, the release stated. At the same time, Rioux was driving a 2005 Scion north bound on Carl Vinson Parkway toward the intersection.

“The Isuzu disregarded the traffic signal and moved into the path of the Scion,” the release stated.

Warner Robins police were dispatched to the crash at 9:27 a.m., with the intersection immediately shut down. The intersection reopened at 11:05 a.m.

Anyone with additional information about the collision is asked to contact the Warner Robins police Traffic Division at (478) 929-1170.
