Macon man stabbed to death; woman charged

A 20-year-old Macon man was stabbed to death early Sunday morning, Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said.

Jones identified the victim as Courtney Thomas, who lived in the 2700 block of Blount Street.

Later in the afternoon, Macon police arrested Zabrina Elaine White, 24, of Bonnie Avenue, and charged her with aggravated assault and felony murder, a police news release stated. White was taken to the Bibb County jail, where she is in custody.

The news release didn’t list a motive behind the stabbing.

Jones said that Thomas was stabbed twice about 6:30 a.m. Thomas was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia, where he was pronounced dead about 7 a.m.

An autopsy will be performed Monday.
