Bibb County Commissioner Bert Bivins has scheduled a news conference Thursday to announce that he is running for re-election to the board’s District 2 post.
Bivins was first elected to the Board of Commissioners in 1995, succeeding William P. “Bill” Randall after Randall’s death.
Bivins’ announcement will be held in the commission board room on the fourth floor of the courthouse at 1 p.m..
