Andrew Layson scored 24 points and three other Trojans scored in double figures to lead the Trojans to a 62-51 win over Stratford and a spot in the Region 2-AAA championship game.

Conner Alford, Grayson Brown and Zack Houston all scored 12 points in the winning effort. Stratford eighth-grader Quintez Cephus put on a show in the loss, making five 3-pointers and finishing with 29.

Tattnall (15-8) only had a one-point advantage totaling the points in the first, third and fourth quarters. But it was the Trojans second-quarter push that provided the cushion.

The Trojans outscored the Eagles 15-5 in the second quarter, and they kept a double-digit lead for much of the second half.
