Lane Bowdon scored 12 points and Harbor Hicks added 11 as the Stratford girls basketball team beat Mount de Sales, 43-40, in double overtime in the GISA Region 2-AAA semifinals.
The Eaglettes (16-8) will play the winner of Arlington Christian at Tattnall Square at 7 p.m. on Friday in the region championship game.
Catherine Chambless scored the eventual game winner with 2:01 to play in double overtime.
The Cavaliers (17-7) forced overtime twice. Madi Harrington made a layup with five seconds to play in regulation to force overtime, and Anna-Kathryn Walston scored with 15 seconds left in overtime to force a second extra period.
