When Macon police arrived at the Old Clinton Road apartment where they found a 28-year-old man fatally stabbed on Saturday, they found the man’s bedroom door locked.

The man’s roommate, 35-year-old Bobby Lee Rozier, called police early Saturday morning and said there “was a strange smell coming from his roommate’s room,” according to a police report released Monday.

An officer, who initially was dispatched to a burglary at the address, used a knife to pry open the door and found 28-year-old Antonio Brown dead on his bed inside the Cherry Tree Hill Apartments unit, according to the report.

Rozier was charged with murder, aggravated assault and a probation violation after a police investigation.

Rozier is being held in the Bibb County jail.
