ATLANTA -- State Rep. Willie Talton, R-Warner Robins, is at Grady Memorial Hospital with what are reported to be abdominal problems.
“All night long they considered surgery,” House Majority Leader Larry O’Neal, R-Bonaire, told the state House Friday. “But it looks like they have been able to treat him where maybe surgery could be avoided and he could be going home as soon as (Saturday). ... I hope we can get him back here feeling good and healthy as soon as we can.”
Grady is in downtown Atlanta, less than a mile from the state Capitol.
Talton, a retired Houston County sheriff’s chief deputy, was first elected to the state House in 2005.
